BOD Incubator Working Principle

A BOD Incubator works by maintaining a precise low-temperature environment required for biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) testing, microbiological incubation and environmental studies. A microprocessor-based PID controller continuously monitors the chamber temperature and automatically operates the heating and refrigeration systems to maintain the desired set point with high accuracy.

How Does a BOD Incubator Work?

1. The required incubation temperature is set through the digital PID temperature controller.
2. The refrigeration and heating systems work together to achieve and maintain the selected temperature.
3. A forced air circulation system distributes uniform temperature throughout the chamber.
4. A PT-100 temperature sensor continuously measures the chamber temperature and provides real-time feedback to the controller.
