Mortuary Chamber Features

Bionics Scientific provides pre-assembled and custom-built mortuary chambers for different storage and installation requirements. Cabinet and walk-in configurations are available depending on the required capacity. The systems use digital temperature controls to monitor and maintain the selected storage temperature.

Temperature Range and Control: Mortuary chambers are available with temperature ranges of 2°C to 8°C and -10°C to -20°C, depending on the storage requirement. Customized temperature configurations can also be provided where required. A microprocessor-based digital controller with an LED or LCD display is used for temperature monitoring and adjustment. The system also includes high and low temperature alarms to indicate temperature deviations.

• Refrigeration System: The mortuary chamber uses a controlled refrigeration system designed to maintain the required storage temperature. Cooling units can be configured for rooftop, wall-mounted or remote installation depending on site requirements. The system includes automatic electric defrosting, a hermetically sealed compressor and an air-cooled condenser, with a water-cooled condenser available on request.
• Construction: Mortuary chambers feature double-walled construction and can be manufactured using 304-grade stainless steel or other specified materials. High-density polyurethane insulation is used between the walls to reduce thermal loss and help maintain stable internal temperatures.
• Doors: The chamber doors are constructed from steel and fitted with magnetic or rubber gaskets to help maintain a secure seal and minimize temperature loss. Front-opening doors provide convenient access for loading and unloading trolleys, while external locks provide controlled access to the chamber.
• Internal Lighting: The chamber is equipped with waterproof internal lighting to provide clear visibility during loading, unloading and routine inspection. The lighting can be operated using a dedicated switch on the control panel.
• Optional Accessories: Depending on the application, mortuary chambers can be supplied with optional accessories such as casters, voltage stabilizer, loading trolley, instrument trolley, data logger and temperature chart recorder. Required product documentation and authorization certificates can also be provided on request.
